Our accessibility roadmap shows how we plan to improve accessibility on www.taffrocks.org.uk

Inaccessible PDFs and other documents

Some of our PDFs and Word documents are essential to providing our services. For example, we have PDFs with information on how users can access our services, and forms published as Word documents.
By December 2023, we plan to either fix these or replace them with accessible HTML pages.

Regular use of suitable software has been implemented and issues identified will be addressed as required.

Background and foreground colors do not have a sufficient contrast ratio

Specific to the Google Maps page.
Make sure all text on the page meets the minimum color contrast ratios specified by WCAG:
3:1 for text that is 18 pt, or 14 pt and bold
4.5:1 for all other text

Heading elements are not in a sequentially-descending order

Provide unique and descriptive title attributes for all frame and iframe elements.

<html> element does not have a [lang] attribute

To ensure our page's content is pronounced correctly for screen reader users, we will endeavour to use a valid language code in the lang attribute of the element.

Links do not have a discernible name

Links must have a unique name or short description attached to them in the code to enable screen readers to read out loud.
This will be an ongoing task.

Taff Rocks reviewed the former statement and has now published the updated statement on the website.
This issue has been addressed and is now live

Pages contain a heading, skip link, or landmark region

Adding ways to bypass repetitive content lets keyboard users navigate the page more efficiently.
